Has anyone noticed? AZ Central has posted a link to arpaio's address on their website!
Someone down there must have remembered Don Bolles and what he died for...finally! |

This really is amazing. The Republic has actually been covering the Arpaio/Thomas/Wilenchik vs. Phoenix New Times story in an honest and professional way. And their columnists have been critical of the "Three
Amigos." I just sent a thank you note to Brahm Resnik at:
brahm.resnik@arizonarepublic.com. |

| The AZcentral story also included a link to the County Record's Office website and their information about county attorney Andrew Thomas' home address. Thomas did not point out the conflict between a law prohibiting the publishing of law enforcement officers personal information and the official requirement to make public the campaign finance information of political candidates. Instead, Thomas pulled an "Arpaio" and declared himself to be a victim. Oh, my family is endangered, my children are at risk...oh, poor me! I just heard him on a news radio station. Both Thomas and Arpaio had to know they were filing documents with the county recorder that included their home addresses and that it was available to the public. But they said nothing until their politically motivated attack on the New Times backfired. |

Walt. They just had the story on Channel 12 too.
Seems AT called a press conference to flame AZC and Ch 12, and AZC pulled the original story.
Thomas now claims that he's got to get armed guards for his wife and kids, but won't press charges.
What a drama queen!
edit: per the story on the fox10 website, AT is saying that the county must paid for the armed guards. |

| This may well be another mistake for Thomas. The media is "circling the wagons" and Andy would have been smart to keep his mouth shut. Logic is not on his side. I am no fan of the Republic or of Channel 12, but Andy is attacking them for reporting an honest story, rare though that may be. This isn't over. |

It could be, let's hope it's the straw that breaks the camels back for both Arpaio and Thomas...
Glory be, what a day that would be....

| Andrew Thomas and some radio talk show hosts are attacking Brahm Resnik, Channel 12, AzCentral, and the Republic over their coverage of the Thomas/Arpaio home address story. The attack is much like the Arpaio/Thomas/Wilenchik attack on the New Times. The trio didn't like what was being written about them so they changed the subject and declared the media outlet had endangered their family. They keep leaving out the fact that anyone wanting to harm an elected official and possessing half a brain could easily locate the addresses. In fact, it doesn't even have to be an elected official. This morning in about 60 seconds I found 6 files on Arpaio at the Arizona Corporation Commission website. Arpaio and his wife are listed as officers of their travel agency and their investment corporation and each file includes their home address. |
