The New Times War Escalates

The Arpaio/Thomas/Wilenchik vs. New Times is fun to read about, watch, and listen to with its changing allegiances, ironies, and strategies. Until the arrest of the New Times executives the Republic's news division had been very kind to Arpaio. Negative items about the sheriff were often toned down or ignored completely. The Republic and the New Times have had a long-time adversarial, even hostile, relationship. Now the Republic is standing up for the weekly paper and running detailed stories exposing the truth about Arpaio, and Thomas, and Wilenchik. Thomas saw the handwriting on the wall and bailed out on his buddies Arpaio and Wilenchik. Now Thomas is using talk radio to attack a major TV station, the state's largest newspaper, and a specific reporter. For some time the New Times has been the only reliable, yet limited circulation, source of truth about the corruption and incompetence of Arpaio. That may now change if the Republic unleashes its resources on Arpaio, Thomas, etc. It might be a good time for, as Joe would say, some dime dropping.

Andy dropped Joe like a hot potato and now Joe has gone into hiding, again? Is the mafia after him, again?

Arpaio, in a press release, once again claims that he is a victim and says that he understands Andrew Thomas' outrage at Channel 12 and AzCentral.com. He goes on to suggest that if the public is also outraged they "should do something about it...
scream and shout."

The real victims are the ones that have been killed and maimed while in Bozo Joke's custody. Not to mention the Tax Payers that continue to foot the bill for this moron.
