Sheriff Adds 'Mugshot Of The Day' To Website

PHOENIX -- Sheriff Joe Arpaio has found a new way to drive Web traffic to his office's site.

He has kicked off a "Mugshot of the Day" competition.

Seven mugshots are posted on the contest site, along with their running vote totals for the day. Monday's "contestants" include a young woman accused of driving on a suspended license, a 59-year old man accused of indecent exposure, and a man with tattoos wrapping his neck.

"I want people to tune in and see if their neighbor has been arrested," said Arpaio. "We decided to draw more people to our web.”

Maybe he can put cameras in the intake areas too! Show the perps on websites, even though they've not been charged, but get to be humiliated!

Oh, but joke tried that too. And it got thrown out in court and appeal, and we the taxpayers had to foot the bill..

But Joke needed something to deflect from the illegal spending of $99m and the report on Henderblimp and the Odd Couple!

Mug shots indeed.

I was having a couple of drinks in the Hollywood Hills an hour or so ago and was musing over the word “mug.” What came to mind was the word “thug.”

Thug.

That pretty much sums-up the Arpaio era. Jackasses like Arpaio, Hendershott, Bearup, Locksa, Black, Wendt, Roe, Munell, Sheridan…and the list goes on and on, could all fit into that simple definition – thug.

Self-serving, boot-licking, brown-shirted, black-booted thugs.

All of these individuals have demonstrated their conditional willingness to sacrifice whatever principles they profess for personal profit and gain. Thugshots of these clowns, charlatans, fakers, and frauds broadcast on CNN and FAUX “News” would make my heart leap from my chest.

Now, as to my somewhat colorful expression “my heart leap from my chest.” While I consider myself one of the most liberal of minds and dispositions, I do find myself chortling at the love affair between “Chief” Larry Black and “Captain” Joel Fox.

This reminds me of the fairly well-documented homosexual activity behind the pre-WW I Kiser’s German command staff. And, let’s not forget similar goings-on in the upper echelon of the Nazi party prior to Hitler’s final assumption of power.

Now, don’t get me wrong. If Chief Black and Captain Fox harbor ideas of heading to San Francisco or Boston to tie the knot and “do the right thing,” I have no problem. After all, love is certainly a mysterious emotion.

And, who am I to stand in the way of a Katrina romance?

Believe me; I’ve already made arrangements to grab the first flight to Phoenix when the inevitable happens.

As to the various suggested disguises, I’ll be sporting a Richard Nixon mask and holding a gin and tonic in my right hand. My left will be occupied with copious back-slapping and hand shaking.

Mr Ooops! You could wear a "Arpaio" mask, a t-shirt that says "I am not a crook!", have a 12 oz tumbler of scotch in your right hand and have the same costume!

Nancy caused me to add one more item to my disguise: a T-Shirt emblazoned with "I'm no Sycophant.". That way, I couldn't be mistaken for one of Joe's - now repentant - cronies.

I'm presently hanging at the Sagebrush Cantina in Calabasas but my thoughts are in Libya and Maricopa County. Two very sweaty, ignorant places long run by egomaniacal jackasses. Of course, Maricopa County's version couldn't have survived and flourished so long without the TLC provided by their various mouthpieces and enablers like McEnweasel, Locksa, Roe, Wendt, Munnel, Sheridan, et al.

Suddenly, the rats are reinventing themselves as cats.

I realized that I wont need a disguise, as no one here or in MCSO has ever seen me or knows what I look like! (and I think only one person even knows part of my real name!)

I might need a secret handshake or something...
